Sport Bags

Because most of my friends don't understand English, my blog will be available in both French and English.

Down there you can see sport bags realized during my internship at PAM Development. These bags are called "props" or "assets". Players can't get close to them during the game, that's why the technical contrainst are closer to current gen than next gen.

As I don't possess the PAM engine, I made a render in the famous Unreal Engine 3 (it looks better than in 3D max's viewport). The render in Top Spin 3 is different because lightning rendering and post-prod effects use another computing method.

Certains de mes amis ont des difficultés en Anglais. C’est pourquoi, à partir de maintenant, Ailix’s World sera à la fois en Anglais et en Français.

Ci-dessous, vous pouvez voir des sacs de sport que j’ai réalisés pendant mon stage à PAM Development. Ces sacs sont ce qu’on appelle des « props» ou des « assets ». Les contraintes techniques sont plus proches des consoles anciennes générations (Playstation 2, Gamecube, Xbox, Wii) que de celles des consoles nouvelles générations (Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC).

À noter que comme je ne possède pas le moteur de PAM, je vous présente un screenshot extrait du célèbre Unreal Engine 3 (C’est quand même plus joli que le viewport de 3D Max).Le rendu dans Top Spin 3 est différent puisque les méthodes de calcul de la lumière et des effets de post-production sont différentes.

Top Spin 3

Announced by Take Two during the Game Convention, Top Spin 3 is a very important game for me because it's where you can see my first professional works. During three months, I worked as environment artist in PAM Development (2k France). Mainly, I realized embellishment meshes as umpire chair, flowers, bags, etc.

As I'm bond to PAM development with a N.D.A. (Non Disclosure Agreement) I'm not allowed to exhibit engine renders or unofficial previews of the game. However I am allowed to show samples of my works in a 3D software viewport.

A new beginning

It's been a long time since my last post in this blog. Holidays are over and I'm currently searching a job as 3D CG artist (environment artist). So I decided to give to this blog a second life. I'll now use this blog as some kind of professional diary.
